Indiana bumps Texas from the top ten among states with the best business tax climate

One of the great things about America is our “competitive federalism.” As states, we fight with each other for jobs and population and investment. Tax policy is one of the important ways we compete.

The new Tax Foundation Business Tax Climate rankings are out. It’s the first ranking I can think of in the past few years in which Texas has fallen out of the top ten. The state that bumped the Lone Star State?

Indiana. My home state.
